A product review of the April 2020 box from My Keto Snack Box, a service that delivers keto-friendly snacks monthly right to your door!

How goes it, keto fam?! I’m on day 44 who knows of quarantine from COVID-19—about six weeks that I’ve been cooped up at home in total. It’s become the new normal around here, and cooking has gotten both creative and monotonous at the same time if that’s possible. One thing’s for sure: the snacking has gone up about 20x since we are stuck indoors with nothing to do. Which can be dangerous if one doesn’t have keto-friendly snacks at the ready!
Keto Snacks to Enjoy While Stuck at Home
Enter My Keto Snack Box. I was so thankful when this company reached out last month asking for Bacon and Cream to review their services, because the quarantine hit us like a slap in the face. I didn’t really have the time to venture out to every store possible and grab keto-friendly snacks here and there, but the cravings for chips and cookies and the lot were hitting hard as we began to get cabin fever. So, it was as if my prayers were answered when I saw My Keto Snack Box in my inbox.
How Does My Keto Snack Box Work?
Like other monthly subscription boxes, My Keto Snack Box pulls together 8-12 new keto- and low-carb friendly snacks each month and delivers them right to your door, all for $38 a month. They ship out the first week of every month and have the perks of being a month-to-month plan with no contracts and free shipping.
They also include new snacks every month, so you don’t have to worry about receiving the same snack twice in case you didn’t care for something in the previous box. It’s a great option for trying new snacks that you may have heard of but either can’t find in-store at our local grocer, or can only buy in bulk orders and don’t want the commitment.
Review of My Keto Snack Box April 2020 Products
So, let’s hop to it! There are so many awesome goodies in this box, it’s hard to decide where to begin. What I can say for sure is that this box satiated my sweet tooth with all of their awesome sugar alternative options! From a crunchy granola bar to sweet-and-salty brownie mix, these snacks fix any sugar craving without compromising carbs while being cooped up at home. First up:
Keto Baking Co. Gra-POW Salted Caramel Brownie
I’d been wanting to try something from the Keto Baking Co. for a hot minute! So I was pleasantly surprised to see this Gra-pow! salted caramel brownie in my box. The best way I can describe it is the lovechild of when loose granola meets a sweet-and-salty brownie. The pouch does have a few servings portions per pack, but I found it sweet enough where just a little did the trick for my sweet tooth and I was satisfied. I think this would be great sprinkled over some vanilla keto-friendly ice cream as a brownie sundae!
Bunker Hill Cheese Crunchy Cheese Crisps in French Onion Flavor
Next up are these delectable goodies. Made with all-natural ingredients, these Bunker Hill Cheese crisps take it up a notch from other brands you may be used to with their french onion flavor. As soon as I opened the package, the scent of this crunchy, salty treat made my mouth water. These are great alone as a crunchy snack, but would be great topped on salad or soup, as well for an added texture and flavor. I think they would be delicious on a cream-based soup like creamy cauliflower soup, or even this pumpkin thyme soup recipe to give it an added kick! (They also have these buffalo flavored cheese crisps which look absolutely delicious!)
Munk Pack Keto Granola Bar in Peanut Butter Flavor
I’m so happy this was included in the April My Keto Snack Box because I’d been seriously craving the texture and mouth-feel of a granola bar. What’s the craziest thing you’ve missed and have had a hard time finding a good low-carb dupe for? In my opinion, Munk Pack hit the nail on the head with these Keto Granola Bars. The perfect texture and light amount of sweetness with the forefront flavor of peanut butter mixed throughout. Definitely a winner in my book, and a product I’ll be looking to replenish soon to keep on-hand in my pantry for midday snacks.
Rebellious Infusions Mint and Lemongrass Tea Mix
The flavors of this tea mix-in peaked my curiosity as I love anything with mint and/or lemon flavors. Rebellious Infusions promises a great kick of energy and awesomeness with their mix-ins. All you have to do is add their little pack to 8-12 oz of hot or iced water, stir and enjoy! Perfect for on-the-go drinks, which would be great to keep in my office drawer—if and when I ever finally make it back into the office after al this craziness! I decided to try this out iced this go-round, and I have to say I’m impressed. Sweetened with monk fruit sweetener, this mint and lemongrass drink is subtle in sweetness while being perfectly flavorful for a great afternoon refreshment and energy boost. I think this drink would also be perfect with a sprig of fresh mint muddled into it and a splash of gin… not that I did that myself or anything (except that I totally did; I blame quarantine. By the way, it’s delicious. Try it.).
FattBar in Caramel and Sea Salt Flavor
Another sweet and salty bar to curb the sweet tooth cravings while in lockdown. I was curious to try this FattBar when I opened it up to examine its composition. It’s definitely less crunchy in texture than the granola bar mentioned earlier. Oddly enough, my first taste impression of this bar was more of oatmeal than caramel and sea salt! But not in a bad way. It’s not overly sweet, which makes it a great snack to have as one serving versus having to break it up. The texture is great, too, not too mushy. Overall, a great treat to have when the sweet tooth kicks in.
Other Products Included in the April 2020 My Keto Snack Box
While I’ve been on a snack kick while being stuck indoors during quarantine, I haven’t gotten through all of my keto snacks just yet (give me time, I’ll get there soon! LOL). But, I wanted to give a rundown on some of the other products included in this box that I’m so excited to try! Including:
- Primal Noms Mocha Mug Cake — there’s something so satisfying about being able to create a personal serving sized keto cake in just minutes! While you can easily create a keto mug cake at home using simple ingredients, this Primal Noms mug cake takes all the measuring and separate ingredient needs out of the equation for an even easier treat. I’m holding onto this one for emergenices!
- Jimmy! Macadamia Nut Crunch Protein Bar — another bar that I’m looking forward to try soon! This one is a little higher in net carbs (5g net carbs) so I’m going to wait to enjoy it on a day where my other carbs are lower to stay within my daily goal.
- Yumbutter Chocolate Almond — This just sounds too good to be true, so I’m saving it for when that nutella and chocolate craving hit. This doesn’t need to be refrigerated! So, if we were back in the offices, this mct oil-packed goodie could sit just fine in my desk snack drawer for an afternoon yummy pick-me-up. The only hard part, I’m sure, will be sticking to the one of three servings in the pouch!
- ELLA’S FLATS — I’ve been looking for good bases besides fathead bagels for things like tuna salad and salmon lox. These sesame-seed flats are perfect for spreading hummus, cream cheese, or your dip of choice on and enjoying in place of a cracker or bread! Once I break out the tuna salad, it’s ON with these.
- Ice Chips Candy Real Lemon Flavor — I’m not a huge fruit candy person, but on occasion I miss a Jolly Rancher. I’m curious to try these for when those occasions hit! Sweetened with xylitol, these sugar-free, keto-friendly candies will be perfect to keep in my purse for an on-the-go sweet treat.
Overall Thoughts on My Keto Snack Box
I’m really impressed with My Keto Snack Box’s service and the quality of products I’ve received! All items so far have been tasty and a real treat to the point where I almost feel guilty as if I’m cheating. And it’s all snacks I wouldn’t seek out on my own, so it’s a nice way to branch out and try new products.
